Founded in 1755 by German Immigrants, Zion has offered worship services in German and now also in English since that time. Known as the German Church, Zion continues to serve as the cultural home for German traditions and events. The Annual Sour Beef Dinner each October brings hundreds of people to our door for a taste of the old Baltimore tradition. The annual Christmas Market resembles those in Germany with both indoor and outdoor vendors selling Wursts, Glühwein, Gulaschsuppe imported foods, cookies, candies, nutcrackers, toys and crafts. Zion also offers GermanLanguage Classes from September to closing with the traditional Maifest.
